FBI Visiting Gun Shops to Investigate "People talking about Big Government"

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

In keeping with the tradition of the FBI’s position on gun rights, it appears the Bureau is working overdrive to monitor and harass gun owners and the gun shops that sell to them.

While government surveillance of gun purchases and gun owners is nothing new, a recent visit by an FBI Counterterrorism agent to a Columbia, South Carolina gun shop has only reinforced the knowledge that the U.S. government is growing more and more concerned by the prospect of a well-armed populace – particularly one that prefers to live without constant government interference in their personal lives.

While the narrative surrounding “counterterrorism” operations used to eviscerate civil liberties after 9/11 was initially based upon the threat of Muslim fundamentalists, that narrative has clearly shifted to a focus on gun owning, law-abiding American citizens - both those who are politically active and those who are blissfully ignorant of current events.

For many, this shift of focus has been quite the surprise. Thus, when the Columbia, South Carolina gun shop in question was approached by an FBI counterterrorism agent on Monday, April 14, the individuals who spoke with him were somewhat alarmed to realize that the agent's concern was not fundamentalist Muslims but Americans who promote small government.

NATO's Pet Nazis Savage Ukrainian Presidential Candidate

US-EU legitimacy is crippled as their Kiev regime uses overt, systematic violence and intimidation to consolidate its hold over Ukraine.

Ukrainian presidential candidate Oleg Tsarev was savagely beaten outside a TV studio after an interview for the Ukrainian talk show, 'Svoboda Slova.’ The studio was apparently surrounded by armed men in masks earlier, preventing Tsarev from leaving after the interview. When he did finally emerge, masked men with Svoboda Neo-Nazi "Wolfsangel" armbands began throwing objects at, choking, and physically beating Tsarev.

Dramatic video of the confrontation was captured, and exposes the successors of the "Euromaidan" protests as not a "pro-democracy" movement, but a mob using violence and intimidation to disrupt and destroy all political opposition to their agenda.

In an earlier report titled, " Ukraine: The Anti-Maidan Begins," the various components of the "Euromaidan" protests were broken down illustrating how violent Neo-Nazi fanatics and ideologues were the rule, rather than the exception in Kiev before the violent overthrow of the elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych. The mobs that attacked Tsarev outside the studio he had given an interview in, appear to have ties to Svoboda's street front, one of the central political parties that led the "Euromadian," and a party that now enjoys three top ministry positions within the newly installed Kiev regime.

Washington Drives The World To War

April 15, 2014

The CIA director was sent to Kiev to launch a military suppression of the Russian separatists in the eastern and southern portions of Ukraine, former Russian territories for the most part that were foolishly attached to the Ukraine in the early years of Soviet rule.

Washington’s plan to grab Ukraine overlooked that the Russian and Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine were not likely to go along with their insertion into the EU and NATO while submitting to the persecution of Russian speaking peoples.  Washington has lost Crimea, from which Washington intended to eject Russia from its Black Sea naval base. Instead of admitting that its plan for grabbing Ukraine has gone amiss, Washington is unable to admit a mistake and, therefore, is pushing the crisis to more dangerous levels.
If Ukraine dissolves into secession with the former Russian territories reverting to Russia, Washington will be embarrassed that the result of its coup in Kiev was to restore the Russian provinces of Ukraine to Russia.  To avoid this embarrassment, Washington is pushing the crisis toward war.

The CIA director instructed Washington’s hand-picked stooge government in Kiev to apply to the United Nations for help in repelling “terrorists” who with alleged Russian help are allegedly attacking Ukraine. In Washington’s vocabulary, self-determination is a sign of Russian interference. As the UN is essentially a Washington-financed organization, Washington will get what it wants.

The Russian government has already made it completely clear some weeks ago that the use of violence against protesters in eastern and southern Ukraine would compel the Russian government to send in the Russian army to protect Russians, just as Russia had to do in South Ossetia when Washington instructed its Georgian puppet ruler to attack Russian peacekeeping troops and Russian residents of South Ossetia.

Longboarders Swerve and Crash to Avoid Road Rage Cop

Amanda Warren
Activist Post

It's not difficult to see why this raw footage of a Vancouver cop with deliberate road rage has gone viral in just a few hours.

The moment he rushes up in an unmarked SUV and abruptly swerves into the oncoming lane is panic-inducing. The longboarders (long skateboard) barely swerve out of the way themselves and crash to avoid going under the SUV which barley stops in time - all to enforce a $35 bylaw violation.

Ukraine: Protesters Seize Police HQ in Horlivka

Voice of America
April 14, 2014

Pro-Russia demonstrators have seized another police building, this time in the eastern Ukrainian city of Horlivka on Monday, defying a government deadline for protesters to vacate occupied buildings in exchange for amnesty.

Dozens of protesters smashed windows of the police headquarters in Horlivka and scuffled with police as they took control of the facility. Video of the confrontation showed an ambulance where injured people were being treated.

A government deadline for the protesters to leave occupied buildings in several Ukrainian cities passed without action.

Ukraine’s ousted president puts blame on CIA

Associated Press
April 14, 2014

Ukraine’s ousted president has accused the CIA of being behind the new Ukrainian government’s decision to deploy armed forces to quash an increasingly brazen pro-Russian insurgency.

Speaking late Sunday on Russian state television, Viktor Yanukovych claimed that CIA director John Brennan had met with Ukraine’s new leadership and “in fact sanctioned the use of weapons and provoked bloodshed.”

Did CIA Director Brennan Visit Kiev Recently?

Zero Hedge
April 14, 2014

Just a few weeks ago, someone (allegedly Russia) leaked a recorded phone conversation of Victoria Nuland commenting “fuck the EU” and how she (the US) wanted the political stage set in Ukraine. A lot has happened since then but as multiple pro-Russian sources have now ‘confirmed’, the new puppetmaster appears to be in town (or was). As Interfax reported, citing sources inside the Ukrainian parliament, none other that CIA Director John Brennan landed in Ukraine on Saturday under an assumed name and held a “series of secret meetings” with the country’s “power bloc” Interfax reported.

As Interfax reports, citing sources…
Brennan landed in Ukraine on Saturday under an assumed name and held a “series of secret meetings” with the country’s “power bloc” Interfax reported, citing an unidentified official in the Ukrainian parliament.
And Voice Of Russia added…
The person who said this to Interfax in a phone talk added that John Brennan came to Ukraine not under his real name.
According to some yet unconfirmed information, the decision to suppress protesters in Slavyansk, a city in Ukraine’s east, with force was advised to Ukraine’s authorities by Brennan.

Ukraine Proposes Joint U.N. Action Against “Terrorists” Opposed to Coup

U.N. boss expresses “full support” for junta in Kyiv

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
April 14, 2014

Ukrainian coup leader Aleksandr Turchynov has proposed conducting a joint military operation with the United Nations to quell anti-junta sentiment in the eastern part of the country. Turchinov made the suggestion during a phone call to United Nations boss Ban Ki-moon.

Turchynov said on his web page that the coup welcomes the “holding of joint counterterrorist operation in the East. Then, experts and observers will be able to witness the legality of our actions themselves.” He said the junta has taken steps “that were necessary to stabilize the situation in Ukraine in general and in the southeastern Ukraine particularly,” particularly in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions where a revolt against the coup is in full swing.

“I would like to express my full support to you personally and to the people of Ukraine,” the UN Secretary-General responded, according to Turchynov. “You can completely count on the UN as a partner. I will do everything I can for the situation to be resolved peacefully as soon as possible.”

UN Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Oscar Fernandez-Taranco, told the Security Council on Sunday “the situation in Ukraine has seriously deteriorated… and as of now, [the country] teeters on the brink.”

“The blood of Ukrainian heroes has been shed in a war which the Russian Federation is waging against Ukraine,” Turchynov said in an address on Sunday. “The aggressor has not stopped and is continuing to sow disorder in the east of the country.”

The junta announced on Sunday it has dispatched security forces in the eastern city of Slaviansk to deal with separatists and “terrorists.” On Monday, however, there was no sign of a large deployment in the Sloviansk district within the Donetsk Oblast.

Stop Reaching For Gimmicks: Take Back The Fed!

Photo: In our current economic depression, proposals for monetary reform and money creation abound. Ranging from the serious (ie State Banking) to the dangerous (an international Gold Standard) to the absurd (the OWS rolling debt jubilee), these ideas all miss the biggest, lowest-hanging fruit of all: the Federal Reserve System.

The first major act of the US Congress was to establish the First Bank of the United States. On the design of Alexander Hamilton, the bank created credit out of thin air, and issued it for matters of the "general welfare" – mostly public infrastructure.

This system was highly successful, taking our fledgling country from an international basket-case after the American Revolution to an international powerhouse in innovation, industry and agriculture. America's rise was no accident of nature, but the conscious plan of the founders, built on the power of credit-creation. While Europe had to borrow their own money from private bankers, we created it.

National banking was a source of great political turmoil throughout the 19th century. Destroyed by Andrew Jackson (resulting in a deflationary crash and long depression), and resurrected by Abraham Lincoln (resulting in the Union's great advantages in technology and productive capabilities over the Confederate slave economy), 1913 was a great defeat for the nation when central banking was seized by Wall Street through the imposition of the Federal Reserve System.

The problem with the Fed is not that it's a "central bank" nor that it creates credit without reserves – but that the credit is issued only for the purposes of Wall Street! The Fed buys $85 billion every month in toxic bank debt, and lends emergency credit to Wall Street (~$27 trillion in the 2008 bailout) while offering NOTHING to the real economy.

This huge "magic money machine" that can create tens of trillions out of thin air musn't be shut down, but SEIZED by the US Congress, to whom it rightly belongs, as written in the Constitution.

As Ellen Brown wrote in a recent article for Counterpunch,

"The funds can be provided interest-free; and because they represent an investment in productive capital, the debt itself can be repaid with the fruits of the investment – the jobs that create the salaries that generate taxes and consumer demand."

http://www.counterpunch.org/2013/06/14/elizabeth-warrens-qe-for-students/

What we want the Fed to do, starting NOW, and what any honest political candidate or legislator must demand:

• An improved version of Elizabeth Warren's Bank On Students Loan Fairness Act, which would compel the Fed to refinance ALL $1 trillion in student loans at 0.75%, and make this financing available in the years ahead.

• $3.6 trillion in public infrastructure bonds (the recommendation of the ASCE), issued by states and regional authorities, and bought by the Fed, with 100 year maturities, and ZERO interest.

• Closing the windows for bankrupt zombie banks, and opening new windows for US manufacturers, family farms, certain small businesses and distressed mortgages.

When it comes to monetary reform, there are too many smart, well-intentioned individuals chasing ideas that are either inadequate, misguided or just plain stupid. We challenge all persons of good will to make Taking Back the Fed (#TakeBackTheFed on twitter) their top priority for economic recovery!

'Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act' Is Anything But

Heather Callaghan
Activist Post

There are currently at least 24 states that have introduced their own versions of genetically modified food labeling laws.

A new bill will sweep them all into oblivion under the federal rug.

It will provide less information to consumers, throw all authority onto the FDA and will paint consumers who have valid concerns as bullies and loons with false "activist claims." In other words - the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2014 is supporting something that is safe - if you pipe up, you are unreasonably pushing something dangerous. The danger? A simply label change depicting a GMO. One that is considerably more humble than current and constant label changes that include "No preservatives!" "No HFCS!" "Gluten-free!" Unlike what the bill's title suggests, it means less ingredient labeling and less oversight.

But to have states make their own guidelines (in response to their constituents) is too confusing of a mish-mash according to the HR 4432's sponsor, US Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.).

Turn of the Screw: The Cliven Bundy Standoff

With the situation heating up in Clark County, Nevada, a range of emotions have been expressed by those following the events taking place. These emotions vary widely depending upon one's worldview and political perspective, as most emotions do. For those successfully trained to believe that government is always right, Bundy is nothing more than another “right wing extremist” intent on destroying the social fabric of the United States and the ability of Federal government to function. To those who are more inclined to promote a culture of liberty and freedom, Bundy represents a potential martyr. Even more so, to these individuals Bundy represents the possibility of another Waco or Ruby Ridge.

Like most tense situations, however, it is good practice to let cooler heads prevail and to analyze the events in an objective fashion before forming an opinion.

The Synchronized Brains of Movie Viewers

Heather Callaghan
Activist Post

Why read the book when I can watch the movie version?

It's been said before that the main difference between people reading a book and people watching a movie is this: Reading is very personal - the interpretation of words can be as different as the variety of people reading it. It is likely that no two people see the exact same image in their minds.

Movies, however, are a different story - everyone sees the same story and image. Not too much is left to interpretation. But it also could be different as far as brain stimulation goes. A faster type of brain imaging technology is proving that the brains of people watching a movie are united in synchronization. A movie triggers the exact same points of their brains, at the exact same time of viewing - spiking and flat-lining in sync.

Vlad the Crusader - Satire!

Some Cry Wolf

AP

With the world reeling over Vladimir Putin's recent openly confessed Christian Orthodoxy, his caustic remarks about the West's sad "decadence", and his assertions that Russia has an ancient Christian claim to the Ukraine, scholars, journalists, and theologians, are scrambling to make sense of it all. Here is a sampling of critical remarks.

Zbigniew Brzezinski: "Listen, I'm an insider, so it's really not fair to question me. The game works better if you all stumble around blindly and bump into things by accident. But since you asked, ins't the fact that the global narrative has been inverted so dramatically a sign, in and of itself?"
Pravda: "Our glorious and fearless leader is above reproach. The West is a sink hole. We are now Holy, ever since our beloved Vlad started going to Church. Now we must make the whole world feel the same way.

Calling all crusaders! Come to Russia! She is the new Jerusalem. Oh, and West is a Sodom. Ew. Yuck."

The Imam of Iraq: "Technically, I could care less, except that these things generally spill over onto my back yard, and then my people start blowing things up. It's a lose-lose situation, really."

Barack Obama: "Decadent? Are we decadent? I don't think so. You know, I was down at Planned Parenthood the other day, and this lab tech rescued a kitten from a tree. It brought tears to my eyes. I thought: America, you're going to be all right."

Foreign ministers of the 28-nation alliance have given Breedlove until Tuesday to propose steps to reassure NATO members nearest Russia that other alliance countries have their back.

Indoor Test Animals Prove the Need for Sunlight

The discovery that indoor animals like pets and test rabbits suffer from vitamin D deficiency wasn't really a test at all - it was accidental.

But a report from the American Journal of Veterinary Research is highlighting the very real health problems that occur while living with a lack of sunlight - for animals and humans.

In rabbits (test subjects or pets), low vitamin D levels lead to cardiovascular issues, weak immune systems and poor dental health - similar to humans. Test rabbits growing up in a lab fare worse; vitamin D deficiency is even skewing test results.

US Denial of Visa to Iran UN Envoy ‘unacceptable’: Tehran

The clash over the nomination threatens to complicate a key moment in the easing of relations between Washington and Tehran as both sides strive to conclude a deal on the Islamic republic’s nuclear programme.
On Tuesday, a day after the US Senate passed a resolution that would deny a visa to Hamid Aboutalebi, White House spokesman Jay Carney said his selection was “not viable.”

In my last article regarding the history and science of color revolutions, I attempted to demonstrate how the science of using mass movements of “swarming adolescents” to destabilize national governments and implement regime change is actually a well-established instrument of imperialist desires. In addition, the previous article also demonstrated the methodology of this type of attack in terms of the means of deployment and necessary components of the color revolution.

Yet, if one were to desire a case study in the art of color revolution and destabilization, then the case of Milosevic’s Serbia could easily be provided.

Toronto Begins Push To Implement Street Checks

Joe Martino
Activist Post

The Toronto Police Services Board has just released its draft policy on street checks as they push for implementation. The practice is highly controversial for a number of reasons as this would give the right for police to stop citizens and document personal details without arresting or charging them.

The policy comes just a month after a class-action complaint filed by the Black Action Defence Committee with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, alleging that Toronto Police are involved with racial profiling. While personally I doubt they would ever admit it, it seems quite obvious that the police don’t treat every citizen equally. In New York street checks have been a huge problem as a great deal of racial profiling has gone on; and since cops are given quotas for street checks, arrests and tickets each month, it leaves the door open for even more shady behavior by cops. Click here for more about the NYPD’s street check program and the kid who exposed their involvement with racial profiling.

“For citizens who have done nothing wrong … it’s a breach of privacy… on the other hand, some kind of documentation system allows officers to retrieve information that can assist in investigations.” Frank Addario, a lawyer retained by the Toronto Police Board.

Father Francis Van Der Lugt, 75, a Dutch Jesuit priest, came to Syria in 1966 and eventually founded a home for children and adults with mental disabilities outside Homs, where he lived before the three-year-old civil war started. After fighting began, he relocated to the rebel-held neighborhood of Bustan al Diwan in Homs Old City, where he worked with refugees and civilians during the more than two-year-old siege by regime forces.

“I can confirm that he’s been killed,” Jan Stuyt, secretary of the Dutch Jesuit Order, told the news agency Agence France-Presse by phone.

Organic Wine Producer Nearly Imprisoned for Refusing to Spray Pesticides

I still don't feel guilty. It's intolerable today to be forced to hide and to be frightened for taking a stand. -Emmanuel Giboulot

Last year I wrote about a major pesticide problem in French wines. One that had unfortunate results. For instance, 90% of those wines, even vintage, were contaminated with unsafe pesticide chemical levels. One farmer died from exposure, and wine farmers there were shown to have much higher rates of brain cancer and dementia.

One would think organic wines would be the way to go. French labels depict organic with the words Vin Biologique. But now, with a new directive that completely undermines "organic" - it is uncertain. That is, if this normally very American, Canadian and English trend on choking out organic small farm freedom continues in France.

Enter: winegrower, Emmanuel Giboulot who has been under fire for months for "flouting official regulations."

NUSRA ANNOUNCES HANDOVER OF ALL OLD HOMS TO SAA

The Jabhat Al-Nusra could not have been clearer. It has announced a full withdrawal from all Homs in anticipation of the SAA’s long-awaited assault on their last holdouts.  Ziad will tranlate the communique for SyrPer readers:

“In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful.  A plea for absolution from guilt to Allah and his Messenger.  A letter asking for assistance from the Jihadists of Homs to their brothers in the Syria of Allah’s Messenger.  Praise be to Allah, the Sustainer of the Worlds who said in the superb revelation:  “If they ask you for help in faith, you must help”.  (Trans.Note: Quran, 8/72 Al-Anfaal)  And the most preferred of prayer and submission (to Allah) for His servant and His Messenger who said:  ‘If the people of Syria have become corrupted there is no goodness in you.  A part of my community is still aided (by Allah); he who has forsaken them has not hurt them until the hour is manifest’.  And (the Messenger), May his Lord’s prayers be upon Him, who said: ‘A Muslim is a Muslim’s brother; he shall neither oppress nor abandon him’…….And now:

“After more than two years of siege inflicted upon besieged Homs, and what multifarious forms of dissention accompanied that and what ordeals made it ashen with grief and the suffering and sacrifices only known to Allah, (May He be praised), we direct ourselves to issue this message to the leaders of the Jihad in the Syria of the Messenger of Allah, as the matter has reached finality, so as to place them before their responsibilities and so as to absolve ourselves before Allah and His Messenger and his faithful believers, assuring them of the following:

Homs has sustained the burden of the revolution in its peaceful stage and blocked him who would stop it.  And it was the quickest to take up arms.  In both circumstances, it paid an heavy price.
“The majority of Jihadists in besieged Homs have exhausted the limits of their energy in withstanding the consequences of the siege, the abandonment by him who is both near and far and the trading with the future of the city.
