This blog is a call for action for like-minded individuals and organizations to join a national movement to end austerity being imposed on citizens by our federal government.

The United States of America has a constitution that guarantees that “all men are created equal” and the federal government is designed to provide for the general welfare of its citizens. Over the past several decades, however, the USA has lost sight of this and the two-party system has failed miserably in providing jobs, peace, freedom, equality, and justice for all of its citizens.
There are many politically-motivated and revolutionary-type movements occurring in our country now. Some have made a little noise and fizzled out; others have gained some steam, and still others have become too radical or extreme to be taken seriously by the masses. A national organization called the United Front Against Austerity (UFAA) is a growing group of dedicated individuals who have been working to promote a platform that centers around economic rights for all Americans. The basic tenets of the UFAA platform are:
- A 1% Wall Street Sales Tax that would generate trillions to be shared 50/50 by the federal and state governments
- Nationalization of the Federal Reserve System (return control to the people, not the banks)
- Medicare for All (all Americans deserve healthcare)
