Today is day one of a 3-month "#WaveOfAction" initiated by former OWS anarchist David DeGraw, and currently being promoted by Occupy groups around the country.

Whether this the start of something big remains to be seen. Whether it's the start of something constructive, based on the lessons of Occupy, is very much in doubt.
How fitting that the mask of Guy Fawkes – the original "fall guy" set up and executed for a phony attempt to blow up British parliament – is the symbol of "Anonymous" and quickly becoming the symbol of networks of left-anarchists who have assumed control of Occupy Wall Street.
What's the problem? Why are we so critical? Don't we all share the same goals?
Look at the heroes of "Wave of Action" promoted in their viral videos (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCOxATqjfgPcVm9wmEj4xXw)
– LSD guru Terrence McKenna, Pied Piper Russell Brand… The artist who popularized the Anonymous Mask (Alan Moore) is an "occultist and ceremonial magician" (think Aleister Crowley and HP Lovecraft). One of Anonymous' slogans, "We are legion," is a reference to a man possessed by demons in the book of Mark. Jesus casts the demons into a herd of pigs and drives them off a cliff.
What can we expect from this movement? Here's a hint – a group of Occupiers calling themselves "Green Rush" wants to nationalize the Fed while promoting marijuana legalization! (http://www.occupy.com/article/enter-green-rush-%E2%80%93-and-join-worldwide-waveofaction)
What better way to destroy a perfectly good idea (nationalizing the Fed) than by throwing some radical leftist mud all over it. The point is not that there's no merit to legalizing marijuana – it's a divisive issue that will instantly brand "Nationalize the Fed" as an issue only a bunch of pothead students wearing creepy masks are interested in.

What is any of this going to accomplish? By letting anarchists lay claim to real programmatic solutions, we're allowing the pollution of those ideas and turning what could be a constructive movement based on political organizing (think the slow death of the Republican party and President Elizabeth Warren riding an authentic wave of New Deal democrats, including some new ones elected in genuine grassroots congressional campaigns) into a street spectacle where a bunch of idiots get blasted with water cannons.
Our advice to rank and file "Anonymous" activists – stay home! You are being duped by intelligence agencies and think tanks (ie Tavistock and the RAND corporation) to turn an inevitable mass strike wave for New Deal reforms into an anarchist riot. You are falling for the same incoherent propaganda that afflicted Nazis, blackshirts, Maidan protestors, hippies, Situationists and any number of other externally-guided reform movements.
Nobody likes corruption and unemployment. But we have practical methods of dealing with those problems (http://againstausterity.org/program) that don't require New Age religion, LSD, anarchist utopias or people getting tear gassed by the police. If you have so much free time, how about you run for political office?
