Military Source: ‘We’re Being Tweeted Into Combat’

NBC News is reporting that military officials are preparing for Special Operations to be deployed in Nigeria to rescue Christian girls who have been taken captive by radical Islamist terrorists.
What makes the report most disconcerting is that well placed officials are saying they’re being forced into a military strike based on the White House’s social media campaign:
According to two well-placed defense department sources, senior Special Operations commanders — those in charge of the Navy SEALs, Delta Force and the Ranger Regiment — have told their men to be ready, assuming that eventually “the hashtag will bring us out.”
“We’re being tweeted into combat,” said a military official who spoke to NBC News but asked not to be identified.
Despite the fact that White House officials have insisted there will be no military intervention against Boko Haram, current and former military officials, speaking under the condition of anonymity, said they believe the first lady’s #BringBackOurGirls Twitter picture is influencing military decisions:
